RISING SUN TELECOM is a growing Telecommunications company specializing in maintenance for Avaya and Nortel PBX’s on the west coast. We need qualified Independent Contractor technicians that can respond and be dispatched 7x24 for remote dial-in work and for Service Calls on-site in various areas. Rising Sun has the following opportunities currently available:

Position: Independent Contractor - Telecommunication Specialist

Territories: CA, OR, WA, AZ, UT, or TX

Minimum Qualifications:
2+ years of telecommunications experience
Carry pager
Ability to work independently
Self-motivated

CERTIFIED:
Certified in a minimum of ONE of the following areas:
AVAYA: Definity G3, G3r, Prologix, Definity One, S8700, S8300, Intuity Audix, CMS, Conversant, IP Office, Magix
NORTEL: Meridian1, Option 11, 61, 81, 91, Sl-100, Norstar

Job Description:
Trouble tickets: Dial in remotely to troubleshoot & fix PBX problems
Provide remote technical advice to customers
On-site Service Calls to customers in your area
Installation
Answer pager 7x24 for maintenance alarms, dial in remotely to clear alarms and Provide remote trouble resolution

Compensation:
Per Diem Hourly Rate: Negotiable
